American experts say President Zelensky has only two options left.
(Baonghean.vn) - American analysts say that Ukrainian President Volodymyr now has only two options for the country's future. And the conflict will only end when Russia takes complete control of five more regions of Ukraine.
Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson commented that Ukraine has only two options: surrender or cease to exist.
“President Zelensky’s 10-point peace plan will not work. The Ukrainian leader wants Russia to withdraw all its troops, put President Vladimir Putin on trial, and demand compensation for the Ukrainian people – this is not even a serious peace proposal,” said expert Larry Johnson.
The former CIA analyst stressed that Ukraine's peace plan will never come true, and the conflict will end only on Russia's terms, leaving the leadership with few options - surrender or Ukraine will cease to exist as a state.
“These are the only two options,” concluded expert Johnson.
Meanwhile, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter commented that this conflict will end when Russia takes complete control of five more regions of Ukraine, including: Odessa, Nikolaev, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov and Sumy.
According to Scott Ritter, the control of these territories would take place in parallel with the destruction of the remnants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ultimately, the Kiev government would face a “Morgenthau Plan”-style territorial division.
Last week, on September 28, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg made a surprise visit to the capital Kiev, and met with President Volodymyr Zelensky, expressing support for Zelensky’s “peace formula”. The NATO leader once again reiterated his promise to support Ukraine “as long as the country needs it”.
After this meeting, President Zelensky affirmed that Ukraine joining this alliance is only a matter of time.
