Celebrities across continents are offering prayers for Paris.

Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, and Taylor Swift all offered prayers for the city of love after it was severely attacked.

Immediately after the bloody attacks on the night of November 13th, two leading actors from the US and Australia – Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman – repeatedly shared the phone numbers of foreign embassies in Paris on Twitter.

From Australia, the X-Men actor wrote: "My prayers and love to my dear friends in Paris." Also from Australia, supermodel Elle Macpherson shared the message that is spreading across the planet: "Pray for Paris" below a picture of the Eiffel Tower. The 51-year-old supermodel has been married to French photographer Giles Bensimon for three years.

Actor Russell Crowe and many other stars have been continuously sharing the phone numbers of foreign embassies in Paris on Twitter to help people in Paris.

The stylized image of the Eiffel Tower superimposed on a peace symbol has been widely shared by celebrities around the globe. Harry Styles, Gareth Bale, Pharrell Williams, Kim Kardashian, Miranda Kerr, and Lara Worthington all posted this image on their personal pages along with prayers.

Singer Taylor Swift posted a photo of herself standing with her back to the Seine River in Paris with the caption, "Praying for Paris. Our hearts go out to you." Meanwhile, singer Kelly Clarkson questioned, "What's wrong with people?" And singer Katy Perry urged her fans, "Everyone, it's time to pray for Paris."

British singer Sam Smith and American actress Kate Hudson shared various images of the Eiffel Tower. Sam Smith wrote on Twitter: "I sit here watching the news. My thoughts and heart are with all the families and friends of the victims of the terrorist attack and to everyone in Paris and France. May everyone be safe."

Actress Kate Hudson shared a picture of the Eiffel Tower alongside a famous quote from Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi: "There is no path to peace, peace is the path."

Images of the Eiffel Tower as a symbol of peace have been widely shared by world celebrities on their personal social media accounts.

Model Khloe Kardashian posted a photo of roses in the three colors of the French flag – blue, white, and red – on Instagram. She also quoted a famous statement by US President Barack Obama following the horrific attack: "Once again, we have seen a barbaric murder of innocent people. This is not just an attack on Paris, this is not just an attack on the French people, this is an attack on all of humanity…"

Actor Jared Leto changed his Twitter profile picture to the French flag and wrote: "We're always with you, Paris. ViveLeFrance (Long live France)." Actress Katie Holmes chose an image of the One World Trade Centre with its blue, red, and white colors to honor the French flag.

The colors of the French flag and flowers, along with the phrase "Pray For Paris," flooded social media among celebrities and the general public.

During a promotional event in the US for his new album, *Purpose*, singer Justin Bieber and his fans observed a minute of silence in prayer for the people of Paris following the historic events. "Lord, we come to You now. We believe in You and we live with You in this moment. We pray once again for the peace of the people of Paris," Justin Bieber prayed with his fans.

Many Vietnamese artists also showed their solidarity with the people of Paris by changing their Facebook profile pictures to images of the French flag. They also updated their statuses with prayers for peace in the city.
