Introducing drought prevention experience using Israeli technology in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 7, in Vinh City, a workshop on “Israeli experience and technology to support agriculture in arid areas” was held. The workshop was organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in Nghe An in coordination with the Embassy of Israel with the participation of businesses from Nghe An province.

At the workshop, delegates listened to Mr. Zafrir-Asaf - Head of the Israeli business delegation - Head of the Economic and Trade Department of the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam introduce Israeli experience and technology to support agriculture in arid areas; provide solutions for irrigation water management and plant nutrition; survey and design free irrigation systems for each household.

The workshop also provided information on some key irrigation system equipment from Netafim Israel for farmers in high-tech agricultural production.

Vietnam is currently one of Israel's important partner countries in the agricultural sector. Some technologies in the fields of irrigation and dairy farming have been imported and effectively applied by Vietnamese enterprises. Drip irrigation technology and Israeli technologies supporting agriculture in arid regions are also being effectively deployed in Vietnam, promising to create advantages over traditional furrow and sprinkler irrigation methods.
