Nghia Dong commune produces and needs 4,000 tons of rice per year to ensure food security, of which the Winter-Spring crop must reach the plan of 2,400 tons, the rest is the Summer-Autumn crop, with a population of about 10,000 people, if they have to buy rice to eat, it is impossible, so people produce rice mainly for their own use, the rest is sold to neighboring communes or to purchasing enterprises.

In Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district, ThaiBinh Seed rice varieties are also popular. Hung Tay Agricultural Service Cooperative has completed testing previous crops and the results are good, so this year, the commune plans to sow more than 180 hectares of TBR 97 rice. Currently, people are preparing to incubate the seeds.

In Yen Thanh district, many communes are producing ThaiBinh Seed rice varieties such as TBR225, TBR87, TBR97. Mr. Nguyen Tho Trang - Director of Nam Thanh Cooperative said that in the 2024 Spring crop, the commune produced over 39 hectares of TBR 225 rice variety, with high productivity, about 72 quintals/ha, the milled rice was delicious and sticky, so in the 2025 Spring crop, based on farmers' registration, the Cooperative planted over 120 hectares with TBR 225 rice variety/out of a total of 267 hectares of rice land in the whole commune. When production is completed, if there is good rice, the associated company will buy it all.
