Opera voice of female singer from Nghe An makes judges cry

Dinh Trang, a girl born in 1988 from Cua Lo Town (Nghe An) has just completed her graduate graduation performance with a lot of emotions for those present in the audience.

With her performance of Aria, Scene, Cavatina, Ariette... not only with technique but also beyond technique, singing with her heart, Dinh Trang conquered the Council of Professors with big names in Vietnamese music such as Professor. People's Artist Trung Kien, Professor. People's Artist Tran Thu Ha, Professor. People's Artist Ngo Van Thanh, Associate Professor Vu Chi Nguyen, Associate Professor. Dr. Ngoc Lan, Dr. Phuong Hoa... with a perfect score of 10, the highest in the 2016-2018 master's course in vocal music.

According to the Council of Professors, Dinh Trang's voice has a beautiful timbre, reminding listeners of the image of People's Artist Le Dung in the past. Sharing right after her success, Dinh Trang said that the graduation performance was a memorable milestone in her musical career.

To prepare for this important exam, she worked really hard and persistently to master Opera techniques. In the past 2 years, no matter how busy she was with music and life, she still spent 2 hours every day practicing her voice and practicing her graduate works. "About 2 months before the exam, I almost quit my job at the agency, put aside all music projects and refused most shows to focus on practicing, preparing mentally, psychologically and physically for the exam," the singer said.

Singer Dinh Trang was born in 1988 in Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town, Nghe An province. She won second prize in the Sao Mai 2013 chamber music contest and was noticed for her albums: "Old Wharf", MV "Nostalgia for Spring", MV "Singing Waiting for You to Come Back"... She is currently a singer for the Voice of Vietnam.

Explaining her efforts to gain weight, Dinh Trang said: “To perform 16 Opera works in about an hour and a half, an artist not only needs talent, good vocal cords, the ability to respond quickly, and musical intelligence, but also health. Therefore, I ignore the appearance factor, trying to make myself the healthiest and most confident to face the important exam in my life.”

The female singer is not afraid of being ugly, not afraid of being ridiculed for her appearance, only focusing on training her voice to have inner strength, strength, and full of energy. "What I care about most is that when the audience hears the sounds in the concert hall, they can hear the strong resonance of a voice without the help of a microphone or technology," she added.

Dinh Trang is one of the few young singers who are devoted to pursuing chamber music. Many people told her that, while she has voice, beauty and youth, she should take advantage of easier ways to make money or build a reputation, why should she "jump headfirst" into a thorny and less profitable path like classical music.

But Dinh Trang insists that her greatest purpose in life is not to make a lot of money, but to enjoy and satisfy herself in the material aspect. “What makes me feel comfortable, fulfilled, full of energy and truly happy is to be able to absorb and immerse myself in classical music, to explore and conquer it,” she said.

Singer Dinh Trang shared that she has pursued chamber music for 10 years and those are the 10 years she feels her life is truly meaningful.

Immediately after graduating from graduate school, singer Dinh Trang will start working on her music projects such as releasing MVs, albums, and participating in many major art programs in the country. In particular, she will have her first music portrait live show in her career in early January 2019.
