Sally-Anne Jones, the fearsome woman known as the IS “white widow”, has been killed in a US airstrike in Syria.

Daily Mail reported on October 12 that IS white widow Sally-Anne Jones was killed in a US airstrike in the area near the Syria-Iraq border in June 2017.

However, according to The Sun, information about the death of this terrifying woman was not made public at that time because her son, Jojo (12 years old), may have also died in the bombing.

Jones and her husband, Junaid Hussain, traveled to Syria in 2013 to join IS militants, the newspaper said. Hussain was accused of planning “terrorist attacks against the West” and died in a US airstrike in 2015.

Jones, who left her home in Chatham, Kent, after converting to Islam, is understood to have used her Twitter account to recruit female IS fighters and to offer advice on how to travel to Syria.

The terrifying woman has called on extremists to carry out terrorist attacks in the UK and has also given instructions on how to make homemade bombs. Jones reportedly regularly posts pictures of herself “taking selfies” with weapons.

According to US General Chip Chapman, Jones was a "high-profile" target killed due to her relationship with Hussain, a key IS militant, and her role in recruiting new recruits for the terrorist group.
