New US aid package for Ukraine includes cluster bombs
Cluster bombs, HIMARS and artillery ammunition, Javelin missiles are included in the new US military assistance package for Kiev, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced.

“It — the new aid package — includes additional ammunition and support for HIMARS, 105mm and 155mm artillery rounds, and cluster munitions,” Mr. Blinken's posted statement said.
Earlier, on August 24, US President Joe Biden announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth $375 million. At that time, the statement did not provide details of the new aid package.
Russia believes that supplying weapons to Ukraine hinders the settlement of the situation, directly draws NATO countries into the conflict and is "playing with fire". Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any shipment of weapons to Ukraine would become a legitimate target of Russian attack. According to him, the United States and NATO are directly involved in the conflict, not only supplying weapons but also through training Ukrainian personnel in the UK, Germany, Italy and other countries. The Kremlin stated that pumping weapons from the West into Ukraine does not contribute to the negotiations and will have a negative impact.
