Collecting trash in the fields in Hoa Son
(Baonghean.vn) - Hoa Son Commune (Anh Son) effectively implemented a model of collecting agricultural waste in the fields.
In the past, after using pesticides to spray on crops, people often threw them right into the fields or ditches. Mr. Le Van Can, a resident of Village 1, Hoa Son Commune, said: Pesticide containers are very toxic; collecting and treating this type of waste is not only to protect the environment but also to protect the health of farmers.
Now, along with the propaganda and mobilization of the youth union members to build garbage pits in the fields, farmers' awareness has changed significantly in the treatment of agricultural waste.

With an area of over 110 hectares of rice per crop, the amount of pesticides used to prevent pests is very large. Therefore, the youth union members of Hoa Son commune volunteered to build 3-5 garbage pits in each field to create favorable conditions for people to collect and treat waste.

Mr. Phan Ngoc Tai, Deputy Secretary of the Hoa Son Commune Youth Union, said: Along with building a garbage pit, the Commune Youth Union assigned members of the Executive Committee to be in charge of specific areas, and encouraged people to collect bags and bottles after spraying and dispose of them in the right place for destruction. The implementation period has only been over a month, but people's awareness has been significantly raised.
It can be seen that this is a practical model, not only protecting the health of farmers but also aiming for a green, sustainable agricultural production./.
