Google Maps' detailed navigation feature is back in Vietnam. |
Turn-by-turn navigation is popular on Google Maps in many countries around the world. Not only does it provide a map route, it also notifies in real time when you are about to turn left, turn right, or continue straight... When the user deviates from the route, the software continues to calculate a new route accordingly.
In Vietnam, Google has been quite cautious when launching this service. Last year, the company started testing it in early July but quickly locked it again a few days later. Some domestic users said that this feature started to reopen yesterday afternoon. However, the new application only supports voice guidance in English.
Users now have several options.Detailed navigation services similar to Google Maps such as Here Maps, Sygic, VietMap or Navitel. These software have an interface and Vietnamese voice that is easy to understand and use. However, the ability to update data and search by actual location is still the advantage that many users prefer on Google Maps.
