Contribute to bringing the law into practice (*)

(Baonghean) - Talking with Mr. Phan Tien Dung - Lecturer, Chairman of the Trade Union, Head of Training Department of Nghe An Provincial Political School, candidate for the 14th National Assembly.

PV:The Provincial Political School is currently the cradle for training and fostering the province's source of cadres. As a lecturer, what innovations do you think are needed in the school's training work to suit current realities?

Mr. Phan Tien Dung:In recent times, Party committees at all levels in our province have paid attention to training and fostering cadres, considering it an important part of cadre work. In addition, authorities at all levels have issued many mechanisms and policies to support and create favorable conditions for training and fostering cadres (both learners and training institutions); have policies to attract talented people, strictly implement regulations on recruitment and appointment of cadres at all levels. The cadre training network is quite large and widespread at the provincial and district levels with many diverse types, creating favorable conditions for learners according to their needs.

On the side of the Provincial Political School, we have paid attention to linking theoretical training with research, summarizing practice, and improving the content of the teaching program in a more practical direction, focusing on closely following the requirements of practice to equip the necessary knowledge and skills with the motto "learning goes hand in hand with practice", promoting thinking ability, creatively applying theoretical knowledge to solve problems of practical life. On the side of teachers, we also improve our qualifications, participate in management activities in localities, accumulate practical life skills and experience to apply in lectures; shift from "teaching what the lecturer has" to "teaching what the students need" with active methods.

PV:As a lecturer of the subject of State and Law, how will you promote your role to fulfill your duties as a people's representative in the National Assembly if elected?

Mr. Phan Tien Dung:With experience working in law enforcement agencies and as a lecturer on State and Law for cadres, civil servants, public employees and business staff in the locality, if elected as a National Assembly delegate, I will participate in implementing legislative work well, applying practical law enforcement to life; listen to different viewpoints, analyze and select information, consider and evaluate bills to participate in discussing, giving opinions and voting on quality draft laws, so that the promulgated laws will come into life, contributing to the building and completion of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the rule of law state of the people, by the people and for the people. At the same time, participate responsibly in giving opinions, discussing and voting on important issues of the country that the National Assembly discusses and decides so that those decisions are truly in line with the people's wishes and bring benefits to the people.

Actively carry out supervision activities through fully reflecting voters' opinions and questioning activities of delegates. Pay special attention to supervising national target programs issued by the State (new rural development program; sustainable poverty reduction program) so that these programs are truly effective, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

In addition, pay attention to giving opinions and proposing measures to solve current pressing issues such as: anti-corruption; environmental pollution; food safety... Regularly contact, engage, be close to and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of voters, actively propose and recommend to all levels and sectors to respond and resolve voters' recommendations promptly and fully in accordance with the law and pay attention to monitoring such responses.
