Comments on the socio-economic development plan of Quynh Luu district.

(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing Decision 217 of the Politburo on social feedback and criticism by the Vietnam Fatherland Front and political and social organizations, on the morning of March 25, the Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Luu district organized a conference to provide feedback and criticism on the draft project "Adjustment and Supplementation of the Socio-Economic Development Plan of the District until 2020".

Overview of the conference

The overall socio-economic development plan for Quynh Luu district until 2020 was approved by the People's Committee of Nghe An province in Decision No. 6115/QD-UBND dated November 19, 2009. In April 2013, after the administrative boundaries of Quynh Luu district were separated to establish Hoang Mai town, Quynh Luu district faced certain challenges, requiring the Party Committee and people of Quynh Luu district to find a direction suitable to the local characteristics, leveraging existing potential combined with the impact of external forces to soon make Quynh Luu district one of the strong districts of the province.

The draft project "Adjustment and Supplementation of the Socio-Economic Development Plan of the District until 2020" was developed by the District Finance and Planning Department in coordination with the investment unit, DIPCO Investment Promotion and Development Joint Stock Company.

At the conference, delegates heard a presentation from representatives of the project drafting committee on the draft project "Adjustment and Supplementation of the Socio-Economic Development Plan of Quynh Luu District until 2020". This included analysis, assessment, and forecasting of the domestic and international context, regional linkages, and factors and conditions for socio-economic development in Quynh Luu District; the socio-economic development direction of Quynh Luu District by 2020; and solutions regarding investment capital, human resources, science and technology, and policy mechanisms.

After hearing the draft, the delegates generally agreed on the structure, content, and direction of the draft project. They also added and suggested amendments to several points, including: clearly identifying the key economic sectors of Quynh Luu district to focus on effective management; how to attract investment within 5 years to reach the target of 4,700 billion VND; developing solutions for industries and building small and medium-sized industrial zones to create jobs for graduates; and researching mechanisms and policies to attract talent and local workforce… The aim is to bring about comprehensive development in all aspects of Quynh Luu district as soon as possible.
