Grammy 61: BTS misses only award, This Is America wins big
Korean pop group BTS missed out on the only nomination for “Best Album Design” at the 61st Grammy Awards.
At the 61st Annual Grammy Awards 2019 held on the morning of February 11 (Vietnam time), the only representative of Asia, the famous K-pop group BTS, had to go home empty-handed despite being nominated for "Best Album Design" with "Love Yourself: Tear" released in May 2018. Although they did not receive the award, BTS was still excellent as the first Korean artist to have an album nominated in this category.

As expected, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper won the award for "Best Duo/Group Performance" with "Shallow" from "A Star Is Born" and she gave an emotional performance of the song on stage.

Cardi B won Best Rap Album, while Dua Lipa won Best New Artist. Kacey Musgraves won Best Country Album for her album “Golden Hours.”
HER won the award for "Best R&B Album" but the 21-year-old singer joked on stage when accepting the award: "It's not really an album, it's an extended play." HER was born in 1997 to an African-American father and a Filipino mother. She is called a child prodigy by many American music sites.

In an effort to quell the scandal of the awards, the 61st Grammy organizers invited former US First Lady Michelle Obama to stand on stage with Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez - feminist icons of the world music industry.
"Whether we like country or rap or rock, music helps us share ourselves, our dignity, our sadness, our joy and our hope," said Michelle Obama.
The Grammy is an annual award by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States, to honor artists who have made outstanding contributions to the music industry./.
