Bright example of Muong village
(Baonghean.vn) - In response to the appeal letter for Tet for the poor by the Provincial Party Secretary during the 2015 Lunar New Year, each Party member and cadre chose a poor address to care for and help.
The appeal letter of the Provincial Party Secretary has touched the hearts of millions of Nghe An people in the province as well as Nghe An people far from home. With kind hearts and the consciousness of building the homeland, everyone has joined hands to help Nghe An reduce hardships, and the poor have cakes and gifts when Tet comes.
The noble gesture that the writer wants to send to everyone is of a person who overcame poverty to share the difficulties of the villagers, that is 60-year-old Mrs. Lang Thi Vinh in Cam Hoa village, Cam Son commune, Anh district. Present at the ferry terminal of Cam Hoa village on the morning of January 30, 2015, we witnessed a 60-year-old ethnic minority woman and her grandson carrying bags of rice (25kg/bag) from the ferry to a cart to transport back to the village. Upon asking, we learned that Mrs. Lang Thi Vinh had directly met with the village chief Lang Van Tham to ask for the list of poor households in the village, she went to the rice dealer to buy 800 kg to distribute to the poor people on the occasion of Tet this year.

When asked what motivated the old lady to do such a good deed, she just smiled and said: “I am also a person who comes from poverty, so I understand that the poor need to share. Thank you to the Party for giving me the life I have today. Now my two children are grown up, have jobs and income. Although the family is not rich yet, I encourage the family to allocate a small part of the economy to help the poor in the village, the whole commune, the whole district and the whole province can do what our family cannot do”. Those seemingly simple and rustic words are full of affection and responsibility of a citizen when calling for sharing with the poor by the Provincial Party Secretary. I think that in our society there are still many difficult circumstances that need help. But with the civic consciousness, the consciousness of sharing with the poor, with the community like the old lady Luong Thi Vinh in Cam Hoa, Cam Son, Anh Son is really worth learning.
