Ha Thu is predicted to be crowned Miss Earth.

Vietnam's representative leads the list of the most promising candidates for the title of Miss Earth 2017 as voted by beauty website Missosology.

After half of the competition, from 10th place, Ha Thu unexpectedly rose to the top of Missosology's rankings. The Vietnamese beauty has achieved many great achievements in recent days such as first prize in Beachwear, bronze prize in Talent. Ha Thu is also one of the contestants whose portrait photo has received the most online votes. The prestigious beauty site assessed Ha Thu as the most promising candidate for this year's crown.

Ha Thu ranked No. 1 in Missosology's rankings on October 17. This ranking may change in the coming days.

Coming in second place on the list is Puerto Rico beauty Karla Aponte. She scored highly in the Bikini Show and also won a sponsor award. The next positions are for beauties from Thailand, Panama, Venezuela, the US, the Netherlands, the Philippines...

Miss Earth will take place in the Philippines from early October. In the coming days, Ha Thu and 86 other contestants will participate in the remaining competitions: Evening Gown (October 28) and Interview with the judges (October 29). The final night will take place on the evening of November 4 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Manila, Philippines and will be broadcast live worldwide.

Ha Thu won the gold prize in the Beachwear Performance competition.

Last year, Vietnam's representative Nguyen Le Nam Em also made a strong impression at the contest and entered the Top 8. The Miss Earth 2016 crown belonged to Ecuadorian beauty Katherine Elizabeth Espín.
