Defeating Verona, Inter closes in on Napoli
In the early morning of October 31, the duo Borja Valero and Ivan Perisic scored together, helping Inter Milan defeat Hellas Verona 2-1 away in round 11 of the Italian Championship (Serie A).

In this match, Inter Milan dominated from the start and took the lead in the 36th minute thanks to Borja Valero with a close-range tap-in after a cross from the right wing by Candreva.

However, due to playing subjectively afterwards, Inter Milan let the home team equalize 1-1 at the beginning of the second half. The player who equalized the score for Hellas Verona was striker Giampaolo Pazzini with an accurate shot from the 11m mark after Alessio Cerci collided with goalkeeper Handanovic and fell in the penalty area.

Not wanting to share points, Inter Milan increased the pressure in the remaining minutes and midfielder Ivan Perisic shone with a volley that burned goalkeeper Nicolas's net after a corner kick from the left wing (minute 67), sealing a 2-1 victory for Inter Milan.

With this win, Inter Milan returned to 2nd place in the rankings with 29 points, 1 point more than Juventus and 2 points less than the leading team Napoli.
