HAGL was fined for not entering the locker room during halftime.

Following their 1-2 defeat away to Thanh Hoa in last week's V-League 2015 match, Hoang Anh Gia Lai received two additional penalties.

The penalties were announced ahead of V-League Round 16, which took place this afternoon, July 15th. Accordingly, team manager Nguyen Tan Anh was fined five million dong and suspended for two matches, while the team was also fined five million dong for "not entering the locker room during the halftime break."

In round 15, HAGL played away in Thanh Hoa and took the lead thanks to Minh Vuong's early goal. However, they subsequently lost 1-2 due to Omar's penalty goal and a controversial goal by Dinh Tung. In the decisive moment of the match in the 82nd minute, a Thanh Hoa player appeared to have handled the ball while falling, before getting up and back-heeling it into the net. HAGL players reacted fiercely, while team manager Nguyen Tan Anh even rushed onto the field to complain to referee Ha Anh Chien.

Following the protests, HAGL also filed a complaint and provided video footage of Dinh Tung's handball to the tournament organizers. On the afternoon of July 13th, the Head of the Organizing Committee, Nguyen Minh Ngoc, the Head of the Refereeing Committee, Nguyen Van Mui, and the Head of the Disciplinary Committee, Nguyen Hai Huong, held a meeting to review the video of the controversial incident and concluded that "there is no basis to confirm that Dinh Tung's goal involved a handball as claimed by the team from the mountainous region."

After 15 rounds, Mr. Duc's team only has 10 points and is ranked second to last in the table. In today's away match against Quang Nam, HAGL will be without the services of center-back Franklin (red card).
