After the U19 and U17 tournaments, the mountain town football team continued to "avoid" the youth championship which was part of the national professional competition system in 2015.

Mr. Duc's team did not participate in 3 out of 5 youth tournaments, partly due to the specific training of players according to the standards of partner JMG.

According to the 2015 Professional Football Regulations of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), V-League teams must have four out of five youth teams participating in national tournaments, including U21, U19, U17, U15, and U13. Otherwise, the team will be fined VND200 million for each team not participating in the tournament.

Previously, HAGL did not participate in the U19 and U17 tournaments. The team's leaders explained that the tournament organizers announced the regulations too late, so there were not enough players to participate in the 19 tournament, while their U17 team was still practicing barefoot and could not wear shoes to compete. In the press conference on the morning of July 8 about the final round of the National Youth Football Tournament - Mobifone Cup 2015, Mr. Tran Quang Dao - Head of the Organizing Committee - affirmed: "Hoang Anh Gia Lai will continue not to send the U13 team to participate in the tournament".

Huynh Mau - CEO of HAGL Club - once said: "Up to now, HAGL has rarely let players play in U13 and U15 youth tournaments because they do not want players to compete too early, disrupting the training process."

Thus, with the absence from three out of five youth tournaments of VFF, the mountain town football team is likely to be fined 600 million VND this year.

The final round of the National U13 Tournament - Mobifone Cup 2015 will take place at Tu Do Stadium, Hue City from July 13 to July 22. This year's tournament will have 10 teams: Viettel 1, Hai Duong, Hanoi, Viettel 2, Binh Duong, Binh Dinh, Sanna Khanh Hoa, Long An, along with Thua Thien Hue (host) and Song Lam Nghe An (champion in 2014).
