HAGL is once again absent from the National U13 Championship.

After the U19 and U17 tournaments, the team from the mountainous region continued to "avoid" the youth championship, which is part of the national professional competition system, in 2015.

Mr. Duc's team did not participate in 3 out of 5 youth tournaments, partly due to the specific training standards of their partner JMG.

According to the 2015 Professional Football Regulations of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), V-League teams must have four out of five youth teams participating in national tournaments (U21, U19, U17, U15, U13). Otherwise, the team will be fined 200 million VND for each team that does not participate in the tournament.

Previously, HAGL did not participate in the U19 and U17 tournaments. The team's leadership explained that the tournament organizers announced the regulations too late, resulting in insufficient players for the U19 tournament, while their U17 team was still training barefoot and therefore unable to compete. At a press conference on the morning of July 8th regarding the final round of the National Youth Football Tournament - Mobifone Cup 2015, Mr. Tran Quang Dao - Head of the Organizing Committee - affirmed: "Hoang Anh Gia Lai will continue not to send its U13 team to the tournament."

Huynh Mau - CEO of HAGL Club - once said: "HAGL has rarely allowed its players to compete in U13 and U15 youth tournaments because we don't want players to compete too early, disrupting the training process."

Thus, with their absence from three out of five VFF youth tournaments, the team from the mountainous region is likely to face a fine of 600 million VND this year.

The final round of the 2015 National U13 Championship - Mobifone Cup will take place at Tu Do Stadium, Hue City, from July 13th to July 22nd. This year's tournament features 10 teams: Viettel 1, Hai Duong, Hanoi, Viettel 2, Binh Duong, Binh Dinh, Sanna Khanh Hoa, Long An, along with Thua Thien Hue (the host team) and Song Lam Nghe An (the 2014 champion).
