On the afternoon of April 3, the Criminal Police force of Kien Giang Province Police raided a house in Giong Rieng District, catching six people red-handed gambling. More than 300 million VND, a deck of playing cards... were seized.
In the six gamblers (32-56 years old, from Kien Giang and Hau Giang) were detained for investigation, including two tax officers in Giong Rieng district and an officer of a local bank branch.
According to the investigation agency, this gambling den has existed for a long time, organized in the house of a retired tax officer, attracting many people from all over to participate. Because the house only has one entrance and is equipped with surveillance cameras, the authorities have encountered many difficulties in approaching and destroying it.
