According to initial investigation, Phuong and Ms. NTL (36 years old), owner of Su Su restaurant on Duong Ky Hiep street, ward 2, Soc Trang city, lived together as husband and wife. Recently, the two had conflicts about love and money.

On the afternoon of September 18, L. and NTT (sister of the owner of Su Su restaurant) went to Phuong's rented house (Le Van Tam street, ward 3, Soc Trang city) to talk.
Fearing that it would be noisy and make a big deal, Phuong called the two women to Su Su pub to settle things. The two women went home first, while Phuong stopped at a grocery store to buy two Thai knives to carry with her.
At Su Su restaurant, Phuong and the women continued to argue. At this time, NTD (the owner's younger sister) was also present.
During the argument, Phuong stabbed three women repeatedly with a knife. As a result, L. and T. died on the spot, while D. was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
After committing the crime, Phuong left the scene.
Colonel Nguyen Minh Ngoc, Director of Soc Trang Provincial Police, was present at the scene to direct units to quickly investigate the case. Two hours after the incident, the police identified Phuong's hiding place. At this time, Phuong also surrendered.
