On January 6, Vinh City Police announced that they had prosecuted Nguyen Kim Hong (born 1967) and Dau Thi Tuyet (born 1969), both residing in Vinh City, for the crime of Forging seals and documents of agencies and organizations. Both defendants were temporarily detained.
Previously, in mid-December 2018, the Economic Police Team (Vinh City Police) caught Nguyen Kim Hong red-handed while trading fake documents of an organization.

At the scene, police seized 7 diplomas from colleges in Vinh city; a number of certified copies; fake transcripts, school records and certificates, and 12 A1 class motorbike driving licenses.
Working with the police, Hong confessed that all of the fake documents were made by Dau Thi Tuyet, residing in Hung Binh ward.

Carrying out the arrest warrant and searching this woman's house, the police discovered and seized nearly 100 fake diplomas, certificates, and authentication forms with false stamps, printing machines, and seals.
At Hong's house in Le Loi ward, authorities also seized 4 school records and certified copies that had been stamped.
