The U22 teams of Thailand and Indonesia fought each other in the final of SEA Games 32.

The scuffle between U22 Indonesia and U22 Thailand started after the 2-2 equalizer in the final seconds of the match. Before that, Indonesian coach Indra Sjafri mistakenly jumped in to celebrate the victory after hearing the referee's whistle wrongly.

After scoring the equalizer, the Thai U22 players ran onto the field to provoke the Indonesian U22 coaching staff, forcing the riot police on the field to work hard to stop them. The drama continued when the two teams entered extra time.

After U22 Indonesia scored to increase the score to 3-2 in extra time, players and coaching staff of the two teams got into a fight.

Substitutes and coaching staff from both teams got into a brawl. The starting players also joined in. Security personnel immediately intervened, but were unable to calm the situation immediately.

Not only the coaching staff but also the players of the two teams rushed into a fight.

The chaos only stopped when the riot police intervened. After consulting with his assistants, the referee decided to hand out a "rain" of red cards. Among them were two direct red cards for goalkeeper Soponvit of Thailand U22 and a central defender of Indonesia U22. In addition, the referee also sent two members of the Thai coaching staff and one member of the Indonesian coaching staff to the stands.

Thus, the referee drew a total of 7 red cards and more than 10 yellow cards in the men's football final.

Defeating Thailand 5-2, U22 Indonesia won the 32nd SEA Games Gold Medal, thereby ending the team's 32-year thirst for a Gold Medal.
