Two knights died, three others were seriously injured while catching a thief
Seeing a group of young men stealing a SH motorbike, the knights rushed in to arrest them but were stabbed repeatedly, leaving 2 dead and 3 in critical condition.

At around 8pm on May 13, four young men rode their Exciter motorbikes around many streets in District 3 and 10, Ho Chi Minh City. Arriving at a fashion store on Cach Mang Thang 8 Street (District 3), the group split up to keep watch, approached Mr. Phuong's SH parked in front of the store, broke the lock and stole the motorbike.
The Tan Binh Knights team of 5 people had been following the group of thieves since before, discovered the incident and immediately shouted "robbery, robbery" and rushed in to suppress.
The group of thieves immediately pulled out knives to fight back, stabbing the five knights. After committing the crime, they got into their car and fled the scene. The victims were taken to the hospital by local people, but the two knights named Thoi and Nam died.
Team leader Tran Van Hoang is in critical condition, and the two remaining knights are being actively treated by doctors.
"The incident happened very quickly, within just a few dozen seconds many people were lying on the street, bleeding profusely. Some people rushed in to help the knights capture the other group but were also stabbed," said a witness living near the scene.

Mr. Hoang is from Binh Dinh, drives a motorbike taxi and lives in Tan Binh district. He has been involved in catching robbers for decades, catching about 500 criminals.
