Two Nghe Tinh workers missing at sea in South Korea

In early March, a South Korean fishing boat capsized at sea due to bad weather, with 11 crew members on board and two Vietnamese people currently missing.

The family of sailor Nguyen Tien Chung (Ky Phu commune, Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh) has just received a notice fromHaUI LETCO Human Resources Training and Supply Company Limited (headquartered in Hanoi) about this missing crew member.

Specifically, at 11:35 p.m. on March 6, a Korean fishing boat capsized due to bad weather, with two crew members on board, Nguyen Tien Chung (46 years old) and Nguyen Huu Long (29 years old, Cua Lo town, Nghe An) taken away by the unit; to date, rescue forces have not found the victims.

Ms. Truong Thi Man (45 years old, Mr. Chung's wife) said,A year ago, Mr. Chung borrowed 400 million VND from the bank and friends to apply for labor export to South Korea to fish near the shore, with a monthly salary of more than 1,000 USD.

"The family has four children, the eldest son is in the army, the other three are still in school. The family is poor so my husband had to work abroad, who would have thought something like this would happen," said Mrs. Man.

During his 10-day leave in mid-July 2016, Mr. Long took the opportunity to organize a wedding with Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen (28 years old, living in the same commune).
