Hai Long made a strong impression against MU
Hai Long was the bright spot of the ASEAN All Stars team in the first half of the match against MU on May 28.
Hai Long is the only Vietnamese player placed in the starting lineup by coach Kim Sang-sik in the match against MU.

The midfielder of Hanoi FC left a positive impression with good handling. Hai Long's dribbling and running confused young center back Ayden Heaven.
The Southeast Asian All-Stars had five shots on Andre Onana's goal, three of which went to Hai Long. One of them was a free kick but the ball flew over the bar.
On social media, fans were impressed with Hai Long. One account wrote: "The number 9 of the Southeast Asian team was the highlight of the first 45 minutes, with neat moves."
Arsenal and Liverpool "fight" for former Man City striker
Signing a centre-forward is a top priority for both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Arsenal and Liverpool are emerging as two prominent names in the race to sign Julian Alvarez - the former Manchester City striker, currently playing for Atletico Madrid. According to the Spanish press, especially sources from Marca, both Premier League giants have put the Argentine international on their priority list for the summer transfer window of 2025.
Alvarez, 25, spent two seasons in the Premier League with Manchester City before moving to Atletico Madrid last summer. In his first season in La Liga, he scored 29 goals, an impressive number that has made experts rate him as one of the best strikers in Europe today.
Chelsea make history
On the morning of May 29, Chelsea defeated Betis 4-1 in the Conference League final, thereby completing their collection of titles at the continental level.
The final whistle sounded at Tarczynski Arena and coach Enzo Maresca and his team were overwhelmed with emotion. Chelsea made a spectacular comeback to become the second English club to win the Conference League.

The Blues made history as the first English club to complete the UEFA continental trophy collection, including the Cup Winners Cup (1971, 1998), Champions League (2012, 2021), Europa League (2013, 2019), Conference League (2025) and UEFA Super Cup (1998, 2021).
Cole Palmer adds another European title to his collection, having previously won the Champions League with Manchester City (2022/23).
Chelsea had a convincing journey to the European third-tier cup. Initially, coach Maresca did not prioritize this arena when he only registered a reserve team for the League Phase. He only added key players when "The Blues" won a ticket to the knockout round.
V-League 2024/2025 Championship Race: “Hanoi – Faith and Hope”
Although the 5-point gap is very difficult to fill, especially when there are only 2 rounds left in the season. But the victory in the derby makes the championship race still attractive and worth watching. Hanoi FC sends a message to Nam Dinh that they should not be subjective.
“If we lose to CAHN FC, the championship race will be over. The match was very important and we won. Hanoi FC has kept the championship race alive, and this victory opens up opportunities for us,” said coach Makoto Teguramori at the post-match press conference.

However, Hanoi FC clearly understands that Nam Dinh, with the spirit of a champion, will not let that happen. With just 1 point on Quang Nam's field, Nam Dinh will be crowned early, regardless of Hanoi FC's result.
Even if Hanoi FC wins both matches and has the same number of points as Nam Dinh (52 points), they still cannot win the championship because they lose to their opponents in head-to-head results - the priority ranking criteria of V-League.
Furthermore, Quang Nam – Nam Dinh’s next opponent is currently struggling to avoid relegation and is considered weaker. This makes Hanoi FC’s “dream scenario” even more unlikely.
