All passengers were evacuated to a safe area. Fortunately, no one was injured. Part of the wing of one plane was broken off after the collision.
Passenger Glenn Jordan and his wife, who were on the flight to Charleroi, said passengers heard “a loud bang” and the plane began to shake.
Mr Jordan said the pilots were quick to make contact after the incident, reassuring passengers and explaining the situation. An ambulance was also dispatched to the scene shortly afterwards.
“Two aircraft collided at Dublin Airport this morning, thankfully no one was injured. Ryanair has contacted the Irish Aviation Authority regarding the incident. We sincerely apologise to our passengers for this unfortunate incident,” a Ryanair spokesperson said.
