(Baonghean.vn) - On April 5, delegations from the two Koreas began working-level discussions to discuss diplomatic protocol, security, and event coverage for the summit between South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, scheduled to take place on April 27 at the southern side of the Panmunjeom truce village.

Senior officials from both sides will discuss what means of transport the North Korean leader will use to cross the military demarcation line that separates the two Koreas to attend a meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, sources familiar with the matter said.
Mr Kim will be the first North Korean leader to visit neighbouring South Korea. The two Koreas previously held summits in 2000 and 2007, both in Pyongyang and attended by North Korean leader Kim Jong-il, Mr Kim Jong-un's father.
In 2000, South Korean President Kim Dae Jung traveled to Pyongyang by plane, and in 2007, South Korean President Roh Moo Hyun walked across the border after stopping his car in the southern area.
South Korean public opinion is now interested in whether North Korean leader Kim Jong-un actually crossed the border on foot or by car. South Korean media said it would broadcast the opening of the summit live, if Pyongyang gave the green light.
The above working-level discussion was initially scheduled for April 4, but was postponed one day at the request of the North Korean side./.
