Two consecutive days of crime by the pork trader
Binh stabbed 3 people to death, injured 1 woman and was discovered while committing the crime with the 5th victim.
On the morning of May 16, the Criminal Police Department of Hanoi City Police received a report from Me Linh District Police about the discovery of the body with many abdominal wounds of Ha Van Hung on the Red River dike in Thach Da commune.
After more than a day of searching, at 3pm on May 17, the police arrested the suspect, Binh, as he was preparing to commit murder. A kitchen knife was seized.
At the investigation agency, Binh stated that at 5:00 p.m. on May 15, he was driving his car through Van Yen commune, Me Linh district when he collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. Hung carrying Doan Van Tung (23 years old). While the two sides were arguing, Binh was "threatened to be killed" by Mr. Tung.

Binh was pepper sprayed, attacked with wooden sticks and bricks by Hung and Tung, and demanded an apology. Returning home with a wound on the back of his neck and swollen eyes, Binh was angry and had the idea of revenge.
He asked Tung and Hung to meet at a karaoke bar to resolve the conflict. At around 9:30 p.m. that same day, the three of them drank beer together in the karaoke room, then went out for a second round. When he returned home to get more money to take with him, Binh was asked by Tung to give Hung 10 million VND. Although Binh was angry, he still pretended to accept it to carry out his revenge plan.
Thinking that he had been beaten and asked for money, when he met Hung, Binh pulled out a knife and stabbed him to death. Binh then went to the karaoke bar, took Tung away and stabbed him to death in Bac Binh commune (Lap Thach district).
Binh confessed that he knew he would have to pay for his crimes, so he went to find those who had conflicts with him to "settle" them all at once. He went to the pho restaurant to find the woman Thao and seriously injured her.
Fleeing after committing three serious crimes in three hours, Binh drove his car to Tam Duong district (Vinh Phuc) and was blocked by local people. However, Binh did not stop but drove his truck straight into the car of the people who were chasing him. He then used a knife to threaten a taxi driver and stole his car, using it as a means of escape.
On the way, Binh "swapped" a taxi for a motorbike and fled to Pho Yen district (Thai Nguyen). At 1:30 p.m. on May 17, Binh bought another knife and returned to Vinh Phuc to stab to death a female victim named Thu, 30 years old, in Yen Lac district.
Binh confessed to having romantic relationships with these two women and committed the crime to settle a previous grudge. He also intended to kill a man over a conflict from many years ago, but was arrested before he could do so.
At the investigation agency, Binh showed no fear and calmly confessed to the crime. The suspect was a pork trader, had no criminal record, was married with children, and had a well-off family.
