Two people impersonating police officers stopped cars to ask for money
A 24-year-old man and his friend in police uniform stopped a car, checked the documents of a passerby, asked for money, and were then arrested.
On February 14, Ben Tre Provincial Police arrested Tran Thanh Long (24 years old, from Ben Tre) and Tran Van Duc (37 years old, from Tien Giang) to investigate their behavior.Fraudulent appropriation of property.

The night before, Long dressed as a police officer and drove Duc to Ben Tre City. They parked near a car dealership, and Long went down the street, stopped many motorbikes, checked their papers, and asked for money.
Seeing people using their phones to record the scene, Long and Duc got in a car and fled towards Chau Thanh (Ben Tre). Duc was arrested by the police shortly afterwards. Long escaped and turned himself in the next morning, wearing a police uniform with the rank of lieutenant.
During a search of Long's residence, police discovered more police uniforms. He said his friends gave him the uniforms and he ordered his insignia online.
