Two gangs attack and cause chaos in Mui Ne

On September 23, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huynh Hoa - Chairwoman of Mui Ne Ward People's Committee, Phan Thiet City (Binh Thuan), said that the local government and the ward police are coordinating to resolve a land dispute that led to a fight with weapons causing chaos in the Long Son neighborhood, Mui Ne.

According to Ms. Hoa, some nearby resort owners continuously called to report that tourists were very scared and asked local authorities to take preventive measures.
According to our sources, at noon on September 22, a group of about 20 tattooed young men, who were said to have been hired by the owner of a famous karaoke bar in Mui Ne from Vung Tau, arrived in the area in two cars.
Then, this group of young men rushed into a house and attacked many people with weapons and pepper spray.

Local residents called for “reinforcement” from a group of prominent youths in Mui Ne to help with the chaos. Mui Ne ward police fired several shots into the air to temporarily restore order. However, on the morning of September 23, the group of youths from Vung Tau continued to carry weapons to seek revenge against the group of local youths who had thrown rocks back, injuring some members of the group.
According to a source, the payment stemmed from disputes over encroachment on public land that caused conflict.
At 10:00 a.m. this morning, PC45 sent forces to the scene to handle the incident.
