Hai Phong: 1 Vice President has not been approved by the Prime Minister
The Prime Minister only approved 2 out of 3 Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee elected by the Hai Phong People's Council.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has just signed a decision approving the election results of the Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term.
This decision approves Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City for the 2011-2016 term and Mr. Le Thanh Son, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City for the 2011-2016 term.

Mr. Le Khac Nam, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee for the 2011-2016 term, was not approved to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the City for the 2016-2021 term.
The above positions were elected on June 29 at the first session of the City People's Council for the 2016-2021 term.
At this session, Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee in the previous term, was elected as Chairman of the City People's Committee.
In the announcement on July 11, the Central Inspection Committee requested an inspection of signs of violations against the Party Executive Committee of the Hai Phong City People's Committee for the 2010-2015 term and a number of individuals. Mr. Le Khac Nam is on the list of 3 individuals with shortcomings and violations: Violating Regulation No. 51-QD/TU, dated April 19, 2007 of the 10th Party Central Committee Secretariat, Working Regulations of the City Party Committee for the 2010-2015 term, Working Regulations of the Party Committee of the City People's Committee for the 2011-2016 term in deciding to approve investment in the water music project; lacking responsibility in directing, inspecting, organizing implementation and violating regulations on construction investment management, cost management, contract management, contractor selection. |
