US Navy fired hundreds of bullets but could not bring down a small boat
The US Navy is said to have failed in its attempt to deter the enemy with a small-ship destruction exercise.
The Daily Star quoted a US military source as saying that the US Navy has just mobilized a force of 1,800 sailors and 2,600 US Marines to conduct exercises on the USS America attack ship.
In which, there is a category of attacking and destroying small enemy warships.
In the posted video, US Marines can be seen using various machine guns to attempt to shoot down the small boat.
This job seemed extremely simple, but the American soldiers lost hundreds of bullets and still could not take down the target.

After the video was posted, there were many comments about this series of shots: "With the most modern technology and techniques in the world, is it so difficult to destroy a boat?".
Meanwhile, some people joked that just a few of these ships would be enough to defeat the giant USS America.
Although the US Navy did not specifically state the purpose of the exercise, according to Fox News, this exercise was intended to respond to an attack by small Iranian Navy vessels when US ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz.
Fox News reported that encounters between US warships and Iran are frequent, and US officials do not want to mention the word "harassment". According to US Navy statistics, in 2016 there were about 300 recorded cases of confrontation with Iranian ships.
According to NBC News, the incident considered particularly serious took place on January 12, 2016, when Iran's coast guard captured two small US naval vessels and 10 sailors in the Gulf when they strayed into Iranian territorial waters.
According to the US statement, these two ships are small coastal vessels and were participating in training when one of them had a technical problem and drifted into waters claimed by Iran. After that, the US had to fulfill some commitments in return, Iran released these sailors.
This is not the first recent seizure of a US ship, as relations between the US and Iran have soured over accusations of Tehran's nuclear program. In 2015, Iranian patrol forces opened fire and seized a US cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Press TV, the cargo ship was detained for being involved in "illegal matters" and illegally entering Iranian waters. Immediately after, the US urgently dispatched the Aegis warship USS Farragut to rescue. However, the issue was resolved peacefully by both sides.
