Two drug addicts blocked the road, beat and robbed the gun of the Criminal Police Lieutenant.
On the way to work, a Criminal Police Lieutenant was forced to the side of the road by two men, beaten, and had his gun stolen.
On March 30, the Criminal Police Department of Tien Giang Province temporarily detained Nguyen Le Tuan (22 years old, residing in Cai Lay town) and Nguyen Ngoc Vien (23 years old, residing in Chau Thanh district) for beating andgun robbery, money of the police lieutenant.

According to initial information, at around 9:30 a.m. the same day, Senior Lieutenant NKT (of the Criminal Police Department of Tien Giang Provincial Police) rode a motorbike from the unit to Cai Be district to perform his duty.
When crossing Binh Duc bridge (Chau Thanh district), two subjects in a car forced Senior Lieutenant T's motorbike to the side of the road.
The subject sitting in the back seat opened the car door and used a 3-section stick to beat Senior Lieutenant T.
Mr. T. raised his hand to block and shouted: "I am a criminal police officer on duty, I request you to stop."
The subject continued to attack Mr. T. with an iron rod. At this time, Lieutenant T. stepped back and shouted "robbery". The subject driving opened the car door, got out, and rushed in with an iron rod to beat Mr. T.
When Lieutenant T. pulled out his gun and shouted: "I am a criminal police officer", the two subjects used weapons to attack the police officers more fiercely.
One subject hugged and choked Lieutenant T. by the neck. The other subject beat Lieutenant T. and stole the gun.
The two subjects also took Mr. T's wallet and ran away in the car. Mr. T shouted "robbery" and chased after him. He jumped on the hood of the car but was knocked down by the person sitting in the back who opened the door.
Upon receiving the news, Tien Giang Provincial Police mobilized forces to capture the two perpetrators. At the same time, they requested police from detention camps under Department C10 (Ministry of Public Security) located in Tien Giang Province to join in blocking the roads leading to Long An Province.
Tien Giang Provincial Police have also asked several provinces and cities to support the capture of two suspects who brutally beat and robbed Senior Lieutenant T.
At around 10:50 a.m. the same day, knowing that they were surrounded by police, the two subjects escaped to Phu Phong commune, Chau Thanh district. When the police were chasing them, the two subjects abandoned their car and ran into a house and were arrested. The authorities recovered the gun.
These two subjects are drug addicts, local bad elements. Among them, Vien is the one who burned down his mother's house.
Lieutenant T. was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment and is now in stable condition.
