Two young men on a SH motorbike snatched a female tourist's handbag.

Seeing a female tourist walking with a handbag, two young men on a SH motorbike approached, snatched the bag and escaped.

On September 1, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy announced that it had transferred the indictment and case file to the People's Court for upcoming trial against the accused Hua Tung Nguyen (born 1995) and Nguyen Van Loc (born 1993, both residing in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) for the crime of "Robbery".

Hua Tung Nguyen was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison by the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City, and Nguyen Van Loc was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison by the People's Court of District 3 (Ho Chi Minh City), both for "Robbery". After serving their prison sentences, the two young men cooperated, becoming a "pair" to continue robbing.

According to the indictment of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy, late on April 23, Hua Tung Nguyen drove a SH motorbike carrying Loc to the Cong Quynh-Nguyen Cu Trinh roundabout (District 1) and saw Mary (born in 1997, Irish nationality) carrying a handbag and walking with a friend across the street in front of house number 25 Cong Quynh (District 1), so he had the intention of snatching the bag.

Hua Tung Nguyen and Nguyen Van Loc were both imprisoned for robbery.

Nguyen approached Loc to snatch the bag and then sped away. Some witnesses chased the two young men. While fleeing, Loc searched the bag, took some belongings and threw the bag into the river bank.

After arresting two suspects on Vo Van Kiet Street (District 1), local residents took them to the ward police station. The police returned the property including a phone, foreign currency, and a bank card to the female tourist.
