The two top-scoring students will receive full tuition support from the Minister.
The Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology has announced that the Minister of Information and Communications, Nguyen Bac Son, has sent a letter expressing his desire to fully support the tuition fees of the two top-scoring students of 2013 throughout their studies at the institute.
The two top-scoring students are Bui Chi Huong (Dong Hoi, Dong Anh, Hanoi) and Nguyen Huu Thang (Thieu Hoa, Thanh Hoa). Both achieved 27 points, with Bui Chi Huong coming from a particularly difficult background as he is an orphan, having lost both his parents. Huong currently lives with his 80-year-old grandmother.
Minister Nguyen Bac Son stated that he hoped that after enrollment, the top-scoring individual of the Academy would continue to build upon their achievements, actively study, train, cultivate moral character, participate in scientific research to achieve good results, become a shining example for their peers and the younger generation, and contribute to further upholding the glorious traditions of the Academy.
According to the Academy's leadership, the gift of full tuition support for the valedictorians from Minister Nguyen Bac Son will not only be an encouragement for the two valedictorians of the Academy but also a positive incentive for the studious spirit of students throughout the school, demonstrating the industry's concern for promoting education and developing human resources.
According to the Academy, upon receiving the good news, the candidates and their families were very excited and couldn't hide their emotions, expressing their gratitude to Minister Nguyen Bac Son. The full tuition support for all four years of study will help alleviate some of the financial burden and allow the students to focus on their studies.
