From 2018 to present, this line has produced, printed and sold thousands of fake degrees and documents to buyers in many provinces and cities across the country, with illegal profits of up to more than 30 billion VND.

On December 30, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Ministry of Public Security, informed about a network of activities producing and trading fake diplomas and certificates over the Internet.

Previously, through professional activities, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control, Ministry of Public Security, discovered a group of subjects producing and trading fake diplomas and certificates over the Internet.

Implementing the Combat Plan, on December 29, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control coordinated with Thanh Hoa Provincial Police to mobilize forces and means to simultaneously deploy 3 working groups to inspect and search 3 locations in Ho Chi Minh City; summon and work with 6 subjects related to the act of producing and trading fake diplomas and certificates on cyberspace. The results of the inspection and search confiscated: 2 computers, 20 mobile phones, 1,000 fake seals, 3,000 fake stamps, 6,000 fake diploma blanks, 1,100 printed fake diplomas and many color printers, scanners, laminating machines to serve the production of fake diplomas and documents.

The ring was headed by Tran Phuc (born in 1983) and his wife Nguyen Thi Tuoi (born in 1985, both residing in Phu Huu ward, Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City). Phuc and his wife directed Do Duc Tuan, Nguyen Trung Thao, Nguyen Tan Tai, and Nguyen Thi Them to organize the production and sale of fake degrees and certificates. At the same time, they created many accounts on social networks Facebook and Zalo with the content: "We accept to make new and reissue all kinds of ID cards, identification cards, vehicle registrations, Cavets, high school to university degrees, driving licenses (GPLX) for motorbikes, cars B2, C... and all other documents, nationwide delivery". When customers have a need, they will contact the phone number posted on Facebook and Zalo to exchange information and specific prices. The above group of subjects accepts to make many types of fake documents, diplomas, and certificates with prices ranging from 2 to 3 million VND.

When a customer ordered fake papers and documents, Tran Phuc would contact Tuan and Thao to produce fake seals and print fake degrees according to the customer's request. The subjects used many sophisticated tricks to deal with the police.

Initially, the authorities identified the fake diploma and document production and trading ring operating from 2018 to present; it has produced, printed and traded thousands of fake diplomas and documents to buyers in many provinces and cities across the country, with the illegal profit amounting to more than 30 billion VND.

Currently, the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention is continuing to coordinate with Thanh Hoa Provincial Police to fight and expand the case, clarify the illegal activities of the subjects to strictly handle them according to the provisions of the law.
