Two cases of transporting eggs and meat of unknown origin.
In just one day, the Thu Duc Animal Quarantine Station (Ho Chi Minh City) seized and processed two cases of transporting meat and eggs of unknown origin for consumption in Ho Chi Minh City.
At 10:20 AM on May 2nd, the Thu Duc Animal Quarantine Station, in coordination with the Rach Chiec Traffic Police Team (Ho Chi Minh City), apprehended a motorbike (license plate 60F4-7269) carrying 110 kg of beef and beef offal from Dong Nai to Ho Chi Minh City.
At the time of the seizure, the beef and beef offal lacked quarantine certificates and their origin was unknown. According to Mr. Doan Thanh Lich (the transporter), the goods were being transported to a pho restaurant in District 9 (Ho Chi Minh City).

Shortly afterwards, at 2:30 PM on the same day, the Thu Duc Animal Quarantine Station discovered a truck with license plate 61N-7471, driven by Nguyen Duy Dong (40 years old, residing in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province), traveling on National Highway 1 carrying 13,000 chicken eggs. Driver Dong could not present any documents related to the shipment. Of the 13,000 eggs, 3,300 had dead embryos and emitted a foul odor. According to driver Dong, these eggs were being transported from Bien Hoa City to Ho Chi Minh City for consumption.
The Thu Duc Animal Quarantine Station issued an administrative violation report and ordered the destruction of 110 kg of beef and beef offal and 3,300 rotten chicken eggs. Regarding the remaining 9,800 chicken eggs, the station required the owner to undergo re-quarantine.
