Two container trucks collided, driver died in cabin
Two container trucks collided head-on on Highway 9, killing one driver in the cabin.
On January 19, Huong Hoa District Police, Quang Tri Province said they were coordinating with Dakrong Traffic Police Station (under the Quang Tri Provincial Traffic Police Department) to direct traffic and investigate the cause of a traffic accident that killed a container truck driver.

Previously, at about 8:30 a.m. the same day, at Km 61+500, National Highway 9, through Luong Le village, Tan Hop commune (Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri), a container truck with license plate 74C-071.82 pulling a trailer 74R-003.49 driven by Mr. Nguyen Chon Linh (born in 1989, residing in Trieu Trung commune, Trieu Phong district) in the direction of Lao Bao-Dong Ha, when arriving at the above location, suddenly confronted a container truck with license plate 15C-222.01 pulling a trailer 15R - 118.25 driven by Mr. Le Quang Ha (born in 1979, residing in Cam Hieu commune, Cam Lo district) in the opposite direction.

The collision caused driver Linh to die in the cabin, while driver Ha was slightly injured. At the scene, the front of the container truck with license plate 74C-071.82 was deformed and stuck tightly into the container truck with license plate 15C-222.01. The accident caused traffic on the above road to be blocked and interrupted.
According to authorities, both container trucks were transporting wood chips imported to Laos.
