Pacific Fleet summarizes results of visit to Cam Ranh port
The Pacific Fleet's warships, including the flagship missile cruiser Varyag and the tanker Pechenga, have completed a visit to Cam Ranh port, Vietnam, Lieutenant Colonel Vladimir Matveev, a representative of the Pacific Fleet, told the press on May 1.

"Today, the Pacific Fleet's warship group, including the flagship missile cruiser Varyag and the tanker Pechenga, completed a visit to Cam Ranh port," Matveev said.
The Lieutenant Colonel noted that during the visit, Pacific Fleet sailors met with representatives of the Vietnam People's Navy Region 4 command, leaders of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Cam Ranh memorial.
Russian sailors also visited port attractions and organized cultural and recreational activities with their Vietnamese colleagues.
The Pacific Fleet warships have been on a long-term mission in the world ocean since April 1, 2017. The trip is in line with the plan of international military cooperation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and will last more than two months. The team has anchored in the port of Busan (South Korea) and the port of Manila (Philippines). The main goal of the mission is to maintain the Andrei flag in the Asia-Pacific region and further develop naval cooperation with the countries of the region.
