The ringleader of this network is Va Xai Vu (born in 1964, residing in Keo Long village, Muong Long commune, Ky Son district). After knowing the personal information of the ring as well as the way this ring operates, Yen Thanh district police established project 318H to monitor the movement of the ring and plan to destroy it.
At around 3:00 p.m. on March 16, a source from the detective reported that Vu would soon "take" a large shipment to the northern provinces for consumption. The task force held an urgent meeting to seek direction from the Provincial Police Department. After discussing and agreeing on the location and time to solve the case, 40 officers and soldiers of Yen Thanh District Police coordinated with Anh Son District Police and a number of professional units to plan to solve the case.
According to the intelligence source, Va Xai Vu and a young man boarded the Hoang Phat passenger bus running the Ky Son - Vinh route. However, being cunning and crafty, Vu changed the delivery location to avoid detection by the authorities. Initially, Vu chose Do Luong district but later, the subject changed the location on the Ho Chi Minh trail.

Realizing the complicated situation, if the subject had more time it would cause difficulties for the police force, the Task Force decided to solve the case as quickly as possible. Furthermore, the subject was on the bus, if there was no careful preparation, the subject could disperse the evidence and endanger the passengers on the bus.
At exactly 3:00 a.m. on March 17, the passenger bus stopped at village 14, Linh Son commune, Anh Son district. When Va Xai Vu got off the bus carrying a black handbag to prepare to deliver the goods, the detectives who were already in ambush rushed in to arrest him. Seeing the police, Vu threw away his handbag and tried to run away, but the detectives rushed in to control him and put handcuffs on his hands. The police also controlled the young man accompanying Vu. This person was later identified as Va Ba Bi, Va Xai Vu's son.
Checking the evidence in the black bag, the police discovered 5 heroin cakes, 2 kg of crystal meth, and 2,200 synthetic drug pills.
At the investigation agency, Va Xai Vu confessed that because of greed for money, he invited his son to join this drug trafficking ring. And Xai Vu said that a man had ordered the above drugs for 920 million VND. Vu had received 450 million VND in advance.
