The North Central region currently has about 27,94 thousand hectares of citrus trees, accounting for 11.5% of the country's fruit growing area. However, production is mostly small-scale and scattered, leading to uneven product specifications, designs, and quality. Varieties have degraded a lot, production costs are quite high, and consumption organization is ineffective.
The forum was held with the aim of finding solutions to develop citrus trees in the North Central region on a large scale, ensuring domestic and export demand, focusing on famous specialty varieties with competitive advantages of each locality.

The solutions agreed to be implemented in the coming time throughout the region are: Managing production scale, minimizing the situation of "hot development" in unsuitable areas, doing a good job of seed and seed structure; managing seed quality, increasing the rate of using quality, disease-free seedlings; applying cultivation techniques to improve quality and food safety; developing processing industry, at the same time promoting production and consumption linkages, expanding markets, promoting trade; creating conditions for land accumulation for concentrated production.
In particular, improving information capacity, forecasting weather, pests and diseases, and consumption markets to help localities and farmers have appropriate citrus production plans.
At the forum, agricultural experts and managers answered many questions for orange growers about pest control, how to effectively use pesticides on citrus trees, and effective intensive farming solutions...
