(Baonghean.vn) - During a phone call on the morning of October 6, nuclear envoys from South Korea, the United States and Japan strongly condemned North Korea's recent repeated provocative actions, Seoul's Foreign Ministry said.

According to information from the South Korean military, North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles from near Pyongyang toward the Sea of Japan between 6:01 and 6:23 a.m. on October 6. This was Pyongyang's sixth launch since late September. This provocative action took place just two days after the launch of a medium-range ballistic missile over Japanese airspace on October 4.

Kim Gunn, South Korea's Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs, and his US counterpart Sung Kim expressed "serious concern" over the launch. Both sides called on North Korea to immediately stop its provocative actions and condemned the latest ballistic missile launch as a violation of multiple UN Security Council resolutions.
