South Korea does not object to Mr. Trump visiting the inter-Korean demilitarized zone
South Korea has just denied reports of opposition to US President Donald Trump's plan to visit the demilitarized zone between the two Koreas.

The South Korean presidential office today declared that the information in the foreign press is not true, and said that the two governments are working closely to arrange Mr. Trump's state visit to South Korea, scheduled to take place from November 7 to 8, according to Yonhap.
Previously, according to some Western newspapers, kWhen the White House mentioned Mr. Trump's visit to the demilitarized zone, the administration of South Korean President Moon Jae-in objected due to concerns that the US President could "misspoke" and spark a war.new war of words with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
The presence of the US President at the Korean-North Korean border, in addition to affirming the alliance between Seoul and Washington, also sends a strong political message and is a show of force to counter the constant threat from Pyongyang.Since the time of President Ronald Reagan, no US president has skipped a visit to the demilitarized zone between the two Koreas.
President Trump will travel to Asia from November 3 to November 14.
