The additional documents were found in a filing cabinet in the office of the presidential secretary for political affairs, Blue House spokesman Park Soo-hyun said. The announcement came three days after the presidential office found more than 300 documents from an office formerly run by the civil affairs secretary under the Park Geun-hye administration. Some of them said the former South Korean leader may have sought support for the illegal inheritance of assets by Lee Jae-yong, vice chairman of Samsung Group.

The newly discovered documents, totaling 1,361, mainly include the results of weekly meetings of presidential secretaries chaired by former President Park's chiefs of staff between March 2015 and November 2016. Meanwhile, another 254 documents reviewed include instructions from the former chiefs of staff.
The documents could help indict President Park's former chief of staff, Kim Ki-choon, who is facing trial on charges of managing a so-called blacklist of cultural figures considered important to Park's administration, a charge Kim denies.
The documents also include Kim's instructions to use the media to deal with a variety of issues, including the Sewol ferry tragedy and the controversial agreement with Japan regarding the issue of "comfort women"./.
