South Korea agrees to logistics sharing with Cambodia.
On August 7th, in Seoul, Lee Seon-chul, Chief of Staff of the South Korean Ministry of Defense in charge of military logistics, and Lieutenant General Chau Phirun, Director of Logistics of the Cambodian Ministry of Defense, signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation in logistics sharing for United Nations peacekeeping operations, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief.

The agreement is also part of an effort to expand military cooperation between the two countries.
A statement from the South Korean Ministry of Defense, released after the agreement was signed, stated: "The need for logistical support and transnational cooperation is evident in the context of increasing UN peacekeeping operations and frequent natural disasters worldwide. South Korea hopes that signing this memorandum of understanding with Cambodia will help promote logistical cooperation between the two countries, contributing to global peacekeeping and humanitarian assistance."
Seoul currently has logistics agreements with 10 other countries: the United States, Thailand, New Zealand, Türkiye, Vietnam, Israel, Australia, Canada, Indonesia, and Singapore.
