South Korea provides Vietnam with 1 million USD to overcome the consequences of typhoon Damrey
The South Korean Foreign Ministry announced that the country will provide humanitarian aid worth 1 million USD to help Vietnam overcome the consequences of typhoon Damrey.
Yonhap News Agency (South Korea) reported on November 10 that the South Korean Foreign Ministry announced that the country will provide humanitarian aid worth 1 million USD to support Vietnam in overcoming the consequences of typhoon Damrey.
“The Korean government expresses its deep sympathy to the Vietnamese people for the damage caused by the storm and hopes that they will quickly return to normal life and overcome the consequences of the natural disaster,” said a statement from the Korean Foreign Ministry.

Previously, at a government meeting on November 7, Russian President Vladimir Putin directed the cabinet to provide Vietnam with 5 million USD in aid to overcome the consequences of typhoon Damrey.
On the evening of November 8, an Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations landed at Cam Ranh Airport (Khanh Hoa), carrying humanitarian aid from the Russian Government for victims of typhoon Damrey.
It is known that storm Damrey made landfall in the South Central provinces (Vietnam) from November 4. Up to now, storm Damrey has killed and left missing more than 100 people, destroyed about 120,500 houses and caused other property damage.
