It is known that the truck driver who crossed the railway and hit the train is named Ho Xuan Son in block 6, Cau Giat town (Quynh Luu). At the time, Mr. Son was driving truck with license plate 37C - 243.31 traveling from Cau Giat town to Dien Chau.
When arriving at the intersection of the residential road and the North-South railway at km 267+500 in Dien Truong commune, Dien Chau district, due to lack of observation, the driver collided with a train running from South to North. As a result, 4 train cars overturned off the track, the truck's cabin was crushed, and the driver was in critical condition.

Discovering the incident, dozens of people living on both sides of the road quickly used crowbars, hammers, and door prying tools to rescue the driver. Because the cabin was hit so hard, the entire car frame was crushed, making it very difficult to get the driver out. It took about 30 minutes for people to be able to get the victim out and take him to the emergency room.
According to information from the Cau Giat Town Police Department (Quynh Luu), after the driver was rescued, the local people took the victim to the Nghe An General Hospital 115 for emergency treatment and he is now out of danger. The crash caused the driver to have 3 broken ribs and multiple injuries to his limbs.
Doctors at Nghe An General Hospital 115 are continuing to monitor and check the victim's health.
