Dozens of people rescued two teachers in the mountainous region of Nghe An who had an accident on their way home from school.
(Baonghean.vn) - On their way home from school, two teachers in Tuong Duong district were swept away by rocks and soil falling from the mountain. Both were then trapped under rocks and soil and road railings and were rescued by authorities and local people.


On the afternoon of September 29, after school, Ms. Luong Thi Thuy and Ms. Vong Thi Thuong rode their motorbikes home in Thach Giam town (Tuong Duong district). Both of them are teachers at Luu Kien Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities.
While driving on National Highway 7A through Luu Kien commune, rocks and soil suddenly fell from the mountain, causing the teachers to fall. Unable to get up in time, the two teachers and their motorbike were pulled down by the rocks and soil, pulled into the guardrail, and got stuck.
"The two teachers were then crushed by rocks and soil, trapped on the slope. About 10 minutes later, passersby and authorities arrived to assist and take the victims to the emergency room. Currently, the health of both teachers is stable," said Mr. Thai Luong Thien - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Tuong Duong district.
Over the past few days, heavy rains have caused flooding in many areas in Nghe An province. The floods have also caused serious landslides on many roads, posing a danger to people and vehicles./.
