Dozens of teenagers fight and slash each other on Hanoi walking street
A crowd of about 35 teenagers armed with weapons rushed into a fight on a crowded pedestrian street because of a conflict on Facebook.
On the afternoon of December 6, Hoan Kiem District Police, Hanoi, detained 6 of the dozens of teenagers involved in a brawl on the pedestrian street in the Hang Dau - Lo Su area, to investigate the act of intentionally causing injury and disturbing public order.
According to the investigation, due to a conflict over Facebook, on the evening of December 3, about 20 teenagers brought knives, iron rods, nunchakus... to look for their opponents. At the intersection of Hang Dau - Lo Su, seeing about 15 people from their opponents, the group rushed in and beat them up, causing chaos to break out.
When the pedestrian street security force and the riot police intervened, both groups fled, leaving behind a knife hidden in the backpack of the 16-year-old male student.
According to authorities, the fight left two 14-year-old boys injured. Police continue to search for others involved.
