The cause of the outbreak of septicemia in Con Cuong was due to the complicated weather and high humidity after storms No. 2 and No. 4, which caused the septicemia bacteria (Pasteurella multoccida) to develop and cause disease in livestock. In addition, due to the practice of raising cattle and buffaloes in herds in the forest, it is difficult to monitor, prevent and detect pathogens periodically.
Faced with that situation, the People's Committee of Con Cuong district issued an urgent telegram directing the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Livestock and Veterinary Station, and the People's Committees of communes to deploy urgent measures to prevent and control septicemia in cattle. At the same time, it provided guidance and provided a treatment regimen for septicemia for the people.
