The swiftlet cave receives an Asian record.

Recently, in Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa Swiftlet Nest Company Limited (a state-owned company) held a ceremony to receive the Asian record for the largest number of swiftlet caves and the largest yield of natural swiftlet nests harvested from islands, awarded by the Asian Record Organization.

Harvesting swallows' nests

Established in 1990, over 25 years of development, thanks to the application of scientific research and technical solutions, the company has contributed to increasing the swiftlet population and harvesting output. From 8 islands with 40 swiftlet caves initially, the company now manages 32 islands with 169 swiftlet caves stretching from Quang Binh to Con Dao, with an annual harvest of over 3,300 kg of natural swiftlet nests.

This is the largest record in Asia in this field, as recently recognized by the Asian Records Organization.

To date, 36 out of a total of 1,600 records in Vietnam have been recognized as Asian records.
